Phase II Complete
Just a brief little update to announce that Phase II: Disruptor Fire and Chemical Warfare ceased on January 26, 2021 at 14:00 hours GMT -4:00.
I have the Certificate of Completion and 28 ‘little zap’ cupcakes, complete with little lightning bolts, to prove it!!!!
Thank you all for helping me to get through it all – I’m almost done! I could not have done it without your help and support.
Thank you, thank you, thank you!
I’d especially like to thank my local Army of Angels – Nate and Nicole (and Sophia and Joseph), Anna, and John for being the ‘driving force’ that physically dragged my sorry carcess around Hell’s half acre and to the torture chamber every day for almost 6 weeks. I don’t know what I would have done without you guys.
What’s Next?
On February 2 (Groundhog Day) I will celebrate by meeting with my oncologist to be briefed on the details of Phase III, which will involve some degree of surgery to remove dead stuff. Coincidentally, this means that I will be hospitalized once again for Valentine’s Day. This whole process took one year.
I’m hopeful that I am finished with the exotic medications. Hopefully that will allow the reversal of this bloody neuropathy that has been plaguing me. We’ll see. The goal is to be playing again by March 21 (Bach’s birthday).
A Little Side Note
As a musician, I have an extensive collection of musical ideas – you know – those ‘late-night inspirations’ that you cause you to fire up Audacity or something so that you don’t forget the idea. Basically ‘scratch pad’ stuff.
I have been going through these things and working up ideas with a fair amount of success. I might just have enough material to put out a full-length CD. Maybe. If I include a couple of my favorite covers I can certainly do it.
Like I said – I am more than eager to get back to playing every day.
That’s it for now. I’ll let you know what Dr. K says on Groundhog Day.
Will it be six more weeks of ca-ca? Who knows?
